Something to do this weekend

It's Friday and time to get out there and do something great.

If you happen to be planning a trip into the city and may be passing some quality time in Granville Island Market, you may want to check this out!

My old neighbour from Commercial Drive who also happens to be a very respected and established artist here in the city is now exhibiting and selling her work at Studio 13. The first time I saw her work it took my breath away. Veronica Foster uses mixed medium on canvas in a way that for me suggests old frescos that you would expect to see in Rome or Florence with a West Coast Vancouver twist.

It is so beautiful with so much texture, movement and personal emotion invested in it that you will not be disappointed. Here pieces capture moments in time in a very touching individual way. I can't wait to have a piece or two for myself. Veronica has also been commissioned to complete installations in people's homes and work spaces throughout the city. Go and have a look for yourself and maybe you will be enticed to bring some of that beauty into your home to enjoy for years to come!
