Canada to lead the way in GDP Growth for 2011

It is great to be part of a city that is celebrating it's 125'th Birthday at a time when it seems that the country at large is leading the world in productivity and economic growth. According to the O.E.C.D. today, Canada's growth is predicted at around 5% for the first quarter of 2011, well ahead of the UK and US.

It has demonstrated that responsible and regulated banking and financing has long term positive implications for everyone. We have all seen how disastrous it can get when you observe what the US and Europe is dealing with right now. It is something that Canada as a nation should be very proud of and can only serve to raise it's profile internationally as a great place to invest.

This country has so much to offer and has the capacity to be a powerful nation in world politics with great governance that has long term positive, inclusive and responsible vision. Vancouver can only benefit even further from this as more people come here to create opportunities through personal and professional investment resulting in a vibrant, interesting and diverse economy.

Long may it continue and a big Happy Birthday to Vancouver in Beautiful British Colombia!
