Happy Easter everyone!
I hope you have all been having a really nice time and taking advantage of the beautiful weather we have been having.
I had the chance yesterday to spend quality time in Steveston with the dogs and friends and go for lovely walks along the ocean front. Had great fish and chips and walked it off for about two hours. So many people all there having a great time from picnicking, feasting on fish and chips, licking enthusiastically on ice creams, strolling, kite flying, para glider buggying and all under a glorious, warm and energising sun.
As I watched the skill of the para glider buggy enthusiasts I imagined myself having a go and really having fun. But knowing my coordination skills (or lack of), I would probably have ruined it for everyone and have been politely but forceably been asked to leave. I will have to put in some practice somewhere isolated; maybe the Kootenays!
On my trip there I noticed a lot of new construction going on. There are some very nice new homes near the fisherman's wharf and a short stroll from the beach. On a beautiful day such as that, it certainly makes it hard to resist. Maybe you should all check it out and consider living by the sea.
One lesson learned again on this excursion. Make sure you carry sunblock an put it on! The warm sun and sea breezes can fry your skin like bacon (ouch!).
Have a great holiday!
